Flavor and fire
This sauce is probably my favorite of the subscription boxes so far. The flavor is incredible and the heat is perfect. It’s not so hot it ruins the flavor. It’s smokey, sweet, spicy, and has a nice umami to it.

Wow. Amazing flavor, not overspicy
It is spicy, but it doesn’t hang around too much, so you can eat half a bottle in one sitting. There’s vegetable broth which adds such a depth of flavor. Amazing sauce. Been putting it in micheladas, and on tenders. Pretty much everything in between too. 10/10

We started SCOVILLED because buying craft hot sauce online was a guessing game. Great labels, no idea what was inside. So we built a shop where we taste a maker’s sauce before we take them on, rate every bottle on a single consistent heat scale, and tag it by flavor, pepper and what it’s good on.

One honest heat scale
Every bottle is rated mild, medium, hot or extra hot on the same scale, so a medium here means the same thing as a medium three brands over.

Our monthly subscription box is picked by a person reading your actual preferences (heat, flavors, foods and dietary needs), not a recommendation engine.

How much is shipping?
Shipping is free on all orders over $75, and free on every subscription box regardless of size. Orders under $75 ship at a calculated rate shown at checkout. See our shipping policy for details.
How does the hot sauce subscription box work?
You set your heat level, the flavors you like and dislike, the foods you cook, and any dietary needs. A curator then hand-picks 1, 2 or 3 small-batch bottles for you each month and ships them free. You’ll never receive the same sauce twice. See how it works →
Can I cancel or skip a subscription month?
Yes. Skip a month or cancel anytime from your subscriber account. No phone call, no retention hoops.
What do the heat levels actually mean?
Mild is under 2,500 SHU, medium runs 2,500–30,000 SHU, hot is 30,000–350,000 SHU, and extra hot is 350,000+ SHU (ghost, reaper and scorpion territory). Every sauce is rated on that same scale.
Do you ship outside the United States?
We currently ship within the United States. If you’re outside the US, get in touch and we’ll tell you what we can do.
Can I give the subscription box as a gift?
Yes. Gift subscriptions are prepaid, so nothing auto-renews on your card. The recipient gets a welcome email that opens their own preference profile, so they choose the heat, flavors and foods before anything ships.
