CaJohns Black Mamba 16, “The Final Bite”, is an extra hot sauce of chocolate habanero peppers and vinegar with 16 million Scoville pepper extract. The dark chocolate habanero flavor lands first, then a delayed burn that keeps tightening.

CaJohns says to use microscopic amounts: a touch in wing sauce, chili, stews or marinades, or on burgers, brats and hot dogs for experienced chileheads. Shake well, and keep it away from eyes, children and pets. It’s the final part of the Black Mamba line, after Black Mamba Extreme and Black Mamba 6.

One of the most awarded names in craft hot sauce, CaJohns Fiery Foods was founded in central Ohio in 1996 by John “CaJohn” Hard, a fire protection engineer with a love of spicy food.

CaJohns makes a huge range: Small Batch garlic cayenne, jalapeño and habanero sauces, a black garlic series, Serrano Lime, Wild Mushroom, Fatali Fire and Raspberry Honey Mustard. At the top end, the Black Mamba sauces use pepper extract for extreme heat. Medium is the biggest group here, with plenty at both ends of the scale.
