Gator Hammock Gator Sauce is where it all started: Buddy Taylor first made it as a wing sauce for his softball team, and after years of fine-tuning he settled on aged cayenne peppers, garlic, vinegar and “other spices”, naming it Gator Sauce in 1989. It’s a medium sauce with a good bite, and Gator Hammock says it’s still its best seller.
It gives great flavor and a bite to anything from eggs to ribs: try it on seafood, soups and grilled meats, and in Bloody Marys. It’s also the base for Lethal Gator and Swamp Gator. Gator Hammock is based in Felda, Florida.

Gator Sauce is a Louisiana-style blend of peppers, vinegar, garlic and spices. Swamp Gator adds fresh habanero, jalapeño and hammock peppers, and Lethal Gator brings more heat with habanero and scotch bonnet. The family also makes barbecue sauces like Gator Que and Hog Wallow, Swamp Mustard, and seasonings for the grill.
