The Phoenix is a medium-heat sauce from Angry Goat Pepper Co. built around cantaloupe and ginger, with yellow Scotch bonnet and datil peppers, orange blossom honey, peaches, sweet onion and lime juice. The maker sums it up as sweet-tart heat.
It was the fourth sauce on Season 17 of Hot Ones, Angry Goat’s third time on the show after Hippy Dippy Green in Season 8 and Goat Rider in Season 13. Try it on chicken wings, or as the maker suggests, on salads, sandwiches and a charcuterie board.
