Seed Ranch Umami Everyday is a mild (Seed Ranch says “NOT hot”) sauce all about savory depth: porcini mushrooms, oven-dried Kalamata olives, capers and garlic with tamari, tomato, balsamic, red miso, seaweed and chipotle.
Use it as a marinade, douse vegetables in it, add it to soup or stock, or pour it over rice. For heat, there’s Umami Reserve, the same recipe made spicy. Seed Ranch Flavor Co. is David Delcourt’s plant-based sauce company, which started at the Boulder Farmers Market in 2017 and makes its sauces in Colorado.
