Red Flag is an extra hot Trinidad scorpion pepper sauce from Black Eyed Susan Spice Co. of Frederick, Maryland, named for the pirate flag that signaled no mercy. Muscadine grape juice, raspberries and cranberries give it a tart, fruity edge, with red onion, allspice and hibiscus.
It was the seventh sauce on Season 24 of Hot Ones and won a gold medal at the 2022 Scovie Awards (Unique, XXX Hot). Toss it with wings, dip steak in it, or add a few drops to a Dark and Stormy.
