J’s Raisin the Bar is a hot sauce and the first of J’s Small Batch’s top-shelf Spirited Sauces: something a little sweet, touched with just the right amount of spice to accompany XO cognac and golden raisins. Grilled habaneros and Vidalia onions accent roasted garlic, and ghost pepper and baking spices bring out the cognac.
J’s lists a 2025 Zest Fest Golden Chile in the exotic hot and extra hot category among its awards. J’s Small Batch is Jason Robey’s brand, made at California Hot Sauce Solutions in Oceanside, California, which he founded with Paulman Acre’s Tim Paulman in 2018.

About the maker
All-natural small-batch hot sauces from Southern California, made by Jason Robey with fresh seasonal peppers and no preservatives.
J’s range runs from the OG and two taco sauces to Thai’d Down Red Curry, Raisin the Bar, Fire Truck, The Exorcist and The 5th Henchman. Jason also co-founded California Hot Sauce Solutions, and several sauces here are collaborations with Paulman Acre, including La Pistola Smoked Strawberry Habanero, Subtle Tease and Sir Atcha. Medium is the biggest group.
