Hook & Arrow Pineapple, Jalapeño is a mild verde sauce with a touch of heat and a touch of sweet: pineapple and aged jalapeño with tomatillo, Granny Smith apple, onion, cilantro, garlic and lime. It placed third among fruit sauces at the 2022 Artisan Flave Awards.
Use it to add a kick of sweet heat to chicken, pork, fish and tacos. It’s made without thickeners or preservatives, so it may separate; shake well. Hook & Arrow was started by brothers Sam and Henry in honor of their family’s fishing, hiking and camping trips, and it gives part of its profits to conservation groups.
