About the maker
A pepper sauce with a mission: made by Palo Alto firefighters, with every cent of the proceeds going to charity.
Firefighter Lee Taylor began growing peppers behind the fire station in 1994 and cooking sauce for friends. In 2005 his colleagues started selling it to fund scholarships, and the Palo Alto Firefighters Charitable Fund has since awarded more than 180 of them.
