Hellfire Angry Orange is a hot, sweet and bright Carolina Reaper sauce made to match the citrusy aroma of a freshly sliced superhot pepper, with sweet cherries, oranges and tangerines, peaches, pineapple, apricots, pears, lemon, lime and a touch of pure maple syrup.

It won first place among super spicy sauces at the 2023 Artisan Flave Awards. Hellfire says it tastes great on everything, especially seafood and chicken, and it was first labeled Tangerine Hell. Hellfire Hot Sauce was founded in 2009 in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, by Diana, “the Sauceress”, and Merle, “the Chilimaster”.

About the maker

Hellfire Hot Sauce

Superhot specialists from Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, who launched Hellfire in 2009 after years of growing heirloom tomatoes and superhot peppers.

Their best-known sauce, Fear This!, is built on Carolina reaper, has appeared on Hot Ones and took first place in the XXXHot category at the NYC Hot Sauce Expo three years running. The range is big and bold, with Devil’s Blend Roasted Reaper, Evil Bastard, Doomed and Lucifer’s Last Blast at the top, but medium is the biggest group here, so there’s plenty for everyday use too. Cumin, curry, lemon and tropical fruit show up often.
