Char Man Dos Locals is a medium, creamy hot sauce made with Dos Topas lager from Topa Topa Brewing Co. and ripe red jalapeños grown locally by Underwood Farms, blended with a “salsa macha” chili oil of fried guajillo and morita chiles and cider vinegar. It’s complex and full of flavor.
Char Man suggests it on street tacos, burgers and pizza, and it’s good on grilled chicken, roasted vegetables and fish sandwiches too. It contains gluten, from the beer.

About the maker
Fire-roasted hot sauces from Ojai, California, made by Chris Sutton, who grew up cooking in his family’s seafood restaurant.
It started in 2006 with a habanero garlic sauce for a sushi roll, which became the Original, made with fire-roasted habanero and güero peppers. Chris went full time in 2015, and the lineup now includes a Caribbean mango pineapple sauce, Pinya with pineapple and fatali, Verde, Sriracha, Picante and the berry-bright Fiyaberry.
