CaJohns Hot Pickle Sauce is a medium, tangy hot sauce of green serrano peppers, pickles and garlic. It’s snappy and pickle-forward, with heat that lifts food without burying it.

CaJohns suggests it on hamburgers, hot dogs and fried chicken, stirred into potato salad, egg salad or deviled egg yolks, or a few drops in tomato juice or a Bloody Mary. It’s good on sandwiches too.

CaJohns Fiery Foods Co.

One of the most awarded names in craft hot sauce, CaJohns Fiery Foods was founded in central Ohio in 1996 by John “CaJohn” Hard, a fire protection engineer with a love of spicy food.

CaJohns makes a huge range: Small Batch garlic cayenne, jalapeño and habanero sauces, a black garlic series, Serrano Lime, Wild Mushroom, Fatali Fire and Raspberry Honey Mustard. At the top end, the Black Mamba sauces use pepper extract for extreme heat. Medium is the biggest group here, with plenty at both ends of the scale.
