Haffs Trippy Pickle is about as close to a pickle as a hot sauce gets: an unsweetened, dill relish-style sauce that balances dill pickles and brine with jalapeño and fresh habanero peppers, with a deli-style flavor and medium heat. Haffs says it rocked Picklesburgh, Pittsburgh’s pickle festival, for three years and has pleased thousands of palates since 2020.
Try it on hot dogs, burgers, deviled eggs, sauerkraut, salads and anything off the grill, in a Bloody Mary, or, to much debate, on avocado toast. Its hotter sibling is Killer Pickle. Haffs Hot Sauce is Bryan Mehaffey’s small-batch company in New Philadelphia, Ohio.
